Day 15, 11 December, 2016
11 years old. He comes from Kiev but while he was in Taizé, his father was doing his mandatory military service in Eastern Ukraine. We were calling his mother every second day to know if everything was allright.
During the last evening prayer at church, the children sang a Ukrainian song after the silence and then read a prayer they had prepared themselves. Who did Artur, whose father was fighting against Russian separatists from Donbass, want to pray for? For the group of young Russians from the Arche community of Moscow who arrived a few days before in Taizé.
